Dr James Fulton is a radiologist at Pacific Radiology, based in Otago Southland.
James received his radiology training in Christchurch Hospital and from 1987 to 1993 in Oxford, UK. He has a specialist interest in neuroradiology, and held a consultant position at Dunedin hospital from 1993 until 2016. He has worked part time at Otago Radiology and subsequently Pacific Radiology from 1995 until 2016, at which time he became a full time Pacific Radiology employee.
James was a member of the Pacific Radiology Board from 2010 until 2016. He spent 6 months working in London for Pacific Radiology Anytime in the first half of 2018. James has an active research interest, being involved in the Dunedin Multidisciplinary Health and Disability Study (DMHDS) with the latest iteration involving Structural and Functional MRI scanning of the cohort from 2016 until 2019.
His most recent publication is as a co-author of a paper on surgical repair of a meningoencephalocoele in a kakapo (Strigops habroptilus).
