On Wednesday a few of our team members represented Mercy at the Otago Polytechnic Employment Expo. It was an exciting opportunity for some of our own to get out and about showcasing what Mercy has to offer. Our Mercy stand attracted a variety of students such as prospective nurses, occupational therapists and administrators.
Proudly we received a great deal of positive feedback from the wider community. Many students described us as an employer of choice and aspire to work at Mercy in the future. Previous patients also approached us to praise the exceptional level of care Mercy provides.
We demonstrated our pursuit of environmental sustainability through the provision of an online information book and a raffle prize draw. Notably, we were one of the only organisations at the expo to be paperless.
Thank you to the IT team for enabling us to achieve this.
In the future, we plan to attend more face-to-face events like this expo.
A huge thank you to Karen Taylor, Simone Johnson, Clayton Hopewell, Rowena Simons and Ryan Brayshaw. You were all terrific ambassadors for Mercy!
